Tom-Henry Löwenstrom grew up in Lübeck and, as a teenager, was already involved in various youth club productions at Theater Lübeck. During a voluntary social year, he not only supported the theater’s educational programs but also gained his first experience as an assistant director. From 2016 to 2019, he worked as an assistant director at Theater Lübeck and directed two youth club productions (The Visit; The Camp).After two more years as an assistant in the Technical Direction, which gave him in-depth insight into the technical preparations of a production, he moved on to Schauspiel Stuttgart. There, he worked as an assistant director during the 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 seasons. In addition to stage-setting for various small-scale productions, he also directed LOVE / An Argumentative Exercise.Since the summer of 2024, Tom-Henry Löwenstrom has been working as a freelance director. He has been responsible, among other projects, for directing The Thief Lord at the Freie Waldorfschule Lübeck and the successful German-language premiere of Silent Sky at Theater Pforzheim.Over the years, he has had the opportunity to learn from various directors and gain valuable experience, collaborating with:
